Whatever you do, don't let the stress of moving put a damper on your family's holiday celebration. Do your best to make the moving process less stressful, at least until the holidays are over. This way, you don't have so much packing and organizing to do as soon as you arrive. You can worry about everything that isn't an absolute necessity after the holidays are over. You can also pack all of your family's holiday decorations in specific boxes so that they are easy to spot.
